Dr Marcia Taylor, 

Managing Director

​

Dr Taylor obtained her PhD from the University of Western Australia and completed five years of Postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health, US.  She has over 20-years experience in Research, Research Management, Academic writing and editing and grant proposal writing. 

 

Dr Taylor has also worked as a Senior Executive in start-up companies in the US, Singapore and Australia.  She trained in Target Validation at Novartis prior to being appointed as the Senior Scientist in the Functional Genomic Division of S*BIO Pte Ltd, a Drug Discovery Company based in Singapore.  On her return to Australia, she took up the position of Research Director at Regenera Pte Ltd, a Drug Development company focused on Ocular Therapeutics.  She was a Project Manager Commercialisation at the Office of Industry and Innovation at the University of Western Australia prior to becoming the Director of Research and Innovation at Edith Cowan University where she managed the dual portfolios of Research and Commercialisation.

As the Director of Business Development at the McCusker Alzheimer's Research Foundation she gained insight into the Not for Profit sector, diverse sources of funding and expanded her network further having worked with Community-based groups, Consumer and Advocacy groups and  policy makers.
